Internal Controls
We provide assurance and comfort in the existing strong control environment of Global Business Service organization through our regular controls self-assessments in each of the three Business Service Centers. We consult as Trusted Advisors operational teams in the Business Services Centers, partner with Global Process Owners, Automations teams, Global Controllers organization in continuous standardization and driving efficiencies activities. We are one global team of talented internal control professionals with strong controls, accounting, audit background.
GPOs (Global Process Owner)
GPOs (Global Process Owner) is a global organization under the GBS (Global Business Services), GPO provide services exist in four workstreams; Source to Settle (StS), Account to Report (AtR), Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and Order to Cash (OtC). It operates across both the Human Health and Animal Health divisions. GPO are responsible for designing, governing and improving the global processes within each workstream.
Standardization: GPO ensure that processes are followed consistently across the globe, GPO identify if there are deviations in processes and, as far as possible, eliminating them.
Optimization & Automation: GPO work with their stakeholders to identify and implement opportunities for efficiencies within processes; this could be anything from data changes, process changes, alignments of roles and responsibilities, technical system changes, implementation of technology enablers to larger scale projects.
Lean Six Sigma
This systematic approach relies on cross team collaboration to improve performance and reduce the time, energy, and resources needed to deliver solutions. Our EMEA Black Belt specialists team drives the continuous improvement of our EMEA Finance Business Service Center.
Robotics
We improve employee and customer satisfaction by automating routine compliance, regulatory, and risk operation processes. We partnered with our IT colleagues to add Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to enable complex processes to be rapidly automated.
